Waraburra State School is committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for students and staff, where students have opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.

Our Waraburra Way consists of four principles that are our school-wide pedagogy.  These are incorporated into our classroom units of work to position Waraburra students to be life-long learners with the skills and attributes we value now and in the future.

At Waraburra State School we have:

  • Effective relationships
  • High Expectations
  • Students Achieving Goals – data, targets, feedback, pedagogy, Outstanding Practice Displayed – teaching, student work, classroom
  • Our Waraburra Way signifies that we have 100% of students above National Minimum Standards and 40% of students in the Upper 2 Bands.

Additionally we are working at delivering learning experiences for our students in new ways that creates "Learning for Life".  We believe our job is to provide an education that will:

  • instil a love of learning that is life long
  • prepare students for a future that is largely unknown
  • develop academic skills and knowledge
  • build social skills and relationships
  • be relevant beyond school both now and in the future
  • be engaging for many individuals at our school, and
  • reflect the complex global community in which we live.

Every student, every day learning and achieving

"Learning for Life"
