Waraburra State School

From little things big things grow...

Waraburra State School first opened the school gates to the Gracemere community in 1987 and is the largest of the three primary schools within the Gracemere township.

Catering for students from Prep to Year 6. Waraburra continues to grow, update and change with the world around us. In order to give our students the education and care they require in today's modern age.

Our school motto that we live by is 'Learning For Life' which is represented in our emblem.

Waraburra is named after a clan of the Darumbal people who lived south of the Fitzroy River around the present location of Gracemere and Kabra.

Our school is situated on 8.5 hectares between Johnson Road and Middle Road. It has its own 'Waraburra Forest' and many native plants and trees that are lovingly cared for by Grounds staff with help from the students.
