Waraburra State School prides itself on educating our children to be tomorrow's leaders.

STEM - science, technology, engineering & mathematics

STEM takes these four separate components and weaves them together to ready our students for the future workforce. Most roles in today's workplace require much more than just one skill set. Therefore allowing our students to learn how to use each component as required in order to create and complete a project. Eg. An architect would use Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to design a complex building structure.

Coding & robotics

This class is about getting our learners ready for the 21st century. Many of our students will have jobs that do not yet exist in today's world.

Coding is the process of programming computer software, games, apps and websites.

Using iPads and laptops our students learn how to create and use coding in order to build and control robotics.

Students from Prep to Year 6 all have inclusive access to these subjects and equipment.

Currently within the school we also partake in local robotics competitions and run lunch time programs for those students wishing to participate.
